PROVIDE CPR

This program covers the knowledge and skills required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines and the safe operation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in an emergency. 

This program is suitable for all workers who may be required to perform CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. 

UNITS OF COMPETENCY

HLTAID001 - Provide cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

NOTE:
Although this program is highly practical persons must demonstrate basic literacy and numeracy skills to accurately gather and convey incident information including completing casualty assessment cards.

Persons are required to be physically capable of performing at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor to be assessed in this unit of competency.
